DEA&DP Ref No.: 14/2/4/1/B1/2/0021/24
Between 2020 and 2021, ANB Property Company 11 (Pty) Ltd (hereafter referred to as ‘the Applicant’) completed the clearance of indigenous vegetation, the infilling and shaping of a watercourse, and the development of an access road on Portions 1 and 12 of Farm Goree No. 158, and Portion 2 of Farm The Running Stream No. 159. The activities undertaken resulted in a total vegetation clearance of 11.5 ha across the aforementioned properties. Additionally, the infilling and reshaping of approximately 607 m of a non-perennial watercourse occurred, which traversed an agricultural area on Portion 12 of Farm Goree No. 158. An approximately 1030 m by 7m gravel road was developed on the northern and western perimeter of Portion 12 of Farm Goree No.158. The aforementioned activities commenced without obtaining an Environmental Authorisation. The applicant proposes to rehabilitate 5.42 ha of cleared and previously cultivated land, as well as to construct a 370 m drainage channel.
